Thanksgiving + misc

I brought cupcakes to Jon's family's thanksgiving dinner. Yep.

 Playing Clue.

Mom gives Jacob, Morgan, & me an early gift.  Jacob and I get nutcrackers and Morgan used to get snowglobes.  The problem was that the water in snowglobes evaporates over time, so Mom had to start something else.  Luckily, one of our assistant managers also works at Mr. Christmas, a company that sells Christmas deco and collectibles to other businesses. So we got this for Morgie Porgie.

Holiday family bonding is very important to Michael.

Never too old to play in/with a box.

Jacob had to do a book report, and of course he picked a football player's biography (Brett Favre).  He also had to make a stand up representation of the person and include 3 items from his/her life that were important.  Brett is wearing his uniform and holding his Super Bowl ring in one hand, his 3 MVP awards in the other.  I didn't help Jacob with this at all.  Take that stupid dwelling project teachers.

They don't have homework on Wednesdays, which means there will always be at least one friend invited over after school.  So I come home with free food!!

This is Jaylan.  He was a cook for a long time, then we were shorthanded on carhops so we put him in that spot.  He. Is. A. Mess.  I constantly have to tell him to stop counting his money, tuck his shirt back in, not to wear his own jacket/hat over Sonic ones, etc.  So I googled the Spanish word for "mess."  Google told me "lio."  Thus his new nametag.
*I have learned since that google was WRONG.  But whatever. It served the purpose at the time.

I am CONSTANTLY nagging the boys to take their shoes off before they enter carpeted areas (I hate carpet).  One day they did without me telling them.  It was exciting.

When you have a boy, this is what birthday presents look like.  $20 dollar bill stuck in a random envelope, with no card.

The sign up sheet for the store Christmas party.  I make them sign up to bring something in order to be entered into the drawings.  This serves 2 purposes: #1 We get a certain amount to spend of the store's money on the party, and if employees bring food, I don't have to spend any of it on food and can instead use it all in give aways.  #2 It keeps them from being spoiled brats.

Josh flew to England and got this for Hallie, but it was too small.  So now Jacob has a hoodie that makes him look really smart. Well, until he adds his own personal touch.

 Mav's baby dedication.

An employee that was cutting onions came up to me with this and said, "Look, it's a pregnant onion."

So Jacob won the class round of the spelling bee and advance to the next round.  We were shocked.  Not that we don't think the boy is brilliant, but you know.  Anyway, here is the proof.
And here is a pic of him at the podium:

and here he is spelling kiln in the first round:
How did he know how to spell the word kiln, you may be asking yourself? (Because I can tell you that the boy did not want to practice at all for this event). Well, you see Brett Favre was raised there:

Early years

Favre was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, the son of Bonita Ann (née French) and Irvin Ernest Favre,[10] and raised in the small town of Kiln.

and here he is during the second round:
He misspelled emporium.  Sadly, no football players were born or raised in a town call Emporium.  So really it's the NFL's fault he lost.

and just one cute video of Mav:

  1. The spelling bee in general, but especially why he knew Kiln. I mean- can he be any more hilarious and awesome?

    Best employers, ever.

    The cupcakes at Thanksgiving. Hahahaha.

    Baby Mav. Sigh.
