Recently....

Hallie's belly, a.k.a. Maverick!! He was moving a lot that night.  But, of course, he never would when Jacob had his hand on there. But he saw her belly move.
Here is a video of him moving around, on a different night, that she sent to us:

Jacob's newest obsession is card tricks. So, there are cards everywhere. Ugh.

Did I post this already?  I can't remember.  This was Jacob's valentine's day treat.  And I would have taken a pic of him eating it, except that it MELTED in my car the day I bought it.  By the time I gave it to him it was just a chocolate lump. Sigh.
**I should live somewhere where things don't melt in my car during the month of February.

Jacob getting his certificate and trophy from basketball.

Hallie ordered 3 more door hangers from Jacob's art teacher, so now she has all the seasons, plus a generic B for the off season times.

The boy, a friend, some mud.  There ya go.
**Actually, they declared it 'quicksand.'  This explanation worked until Jacob was bragging to another friend about it and the friend asked how he got out.  When Jacob explained that, the friend--who was strangely knowledgeable about quicksand--stated, "Dude (always), if you got out by climbing out then it wasn't quicksand.  Because in quicksand, the more you move, the more you sink."

The boy is wearing men's size socks. What. When did that happen?  Well, at least he is still is 'youth' size shoes, which is more than I can say for Miss Too Awesome For the Town Morgan, who wears a size 7, IN WOMEN'S!

I needed to work one day while Jake was on spring break so Jessica offered to watch him for me.  They rode from her house to Shelby Farms park, all along the Green Line (which is a trail Memphis has created that stretches about 20 miles).  I have no idea how long of a ride it was, but I will just say the boy slept WELL that night.
The girl is Gracie, Morgan's soon to be cousin.
I just googled it and it seems they rode almost 14 miles round trip.

In other delayed news, Tasha, a girl who has been working for us since she was 16, which was 17 years ago, brought us all some cute valetine socks.  Why I chose to show some leg is beyond me, since there is a whole lot of pasty whiteness going on there...

Morgan is learning to play the electric guitar at a place called The School of Rock.  It's really cool because their premise is to teach kids to play whatever instrument by using songs they like listening to (rather than teaching them Happy Birthday and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star).  They ask you what kind of music you like, and apparently Morgan answered classic rock because she is learning to play songs from bands like ACDC.  Which is a little random.  Here is a video:
