Superbowl!

Heading into the championship game, Jacob's team was 7-3.  Those 3 losses were to the Steelers.  The team we were playing in the championship game was the Steelers.  Needless to say, we were all EAGERLY anticipating this game!  We scored 2 touchdowns in the 1st quarter, but a flag was thrown on both, so neither counted (there may have been a few parents yelling).  Then, late in the 2nd quarter, we scored and it was good.  Then we came back from halftime to score 2 more times! The final score was 19-0.  It was craziness.  And Jacob played SO AWESOME(ly?)!!!  They all did great.  And while I will definitely miss the games, the kids, and the parents, I have to admit, IT WAS GETTING COLD!!! But here are the pics from the final game:

Warming up.  Jacob is 2nd from left.

Jacob is directly to the coach's left.

See #44 to the left? ;)

 In there somewhere...

#44

That's Jacob on the left.  Just chit chatting with Kaiser a few minutes before the game.  They were supposed to be "taking a knee" and watching the game going on before theirs...

D, JP, Beau, Zack, Sterling, Griffin, Maddox.

Sterling, Griffin, Maddox, Luke.

Jacob, Kellon, Kaiser, D-in front of Kaiser, JP.

Jacob is 2nd from left in both pics.

Going out to shake hands before the game.  The coaches are supposed to bring their captains with them.  The Steelers' coach brought the whole team. Sheesh.

Morgan got hold of the camera :)

Look at how my mom and I tilted our heads the same direction.  Whatcha want to bet that if we had a pic of Grandma, her head would be tilted the same way?

During half time I think.

After the game.  The guy in black to the left is the other coach congratulating our team.

Our Coach giving the victory speech to the players after :)
 Giants on 3!

Waiting to get their trophies.  The Coach was saying, "All season long, all we wanted to do was beat the Steelers, and we finally did!"

The silver one in his right hand is for the season.  The gold one in his left hand is for the Superbowl champs!

 Silly team pic with trophies...
Serious team pic with trophies (except Jacob didn't get the memo-he is still holding rabbit ears up to his neighbors...).

Grammy took us to Milano's after (Jacob's fave pizza), and he didn't want to take his pads off ;)

Halloween/Fall Festivites (a.k.a., my fave time of year)

I took Jacob and Morgan to a nearby pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins to paint one day on their WEEK LONG fall break *yes that was a bit of sarcasm.  While we were there, there were many spots set up for photo ops.  Please notice that Jacob's hair is sticking up, and they are both wearing mismatched clothes.  Obviously I was not planning on taking pics.  So of course they begged me to take their pictures. Of course.

In the pic above, also please notice that Jacob has a white pumpkin.  I had printed off some pics of painted pumpkins for the kids to give them some ideas.  Jacob originally wanted to paint his to look like a skull.  But then decided against that because he didn't want to have to paint the whole thing white first, then wait for it to dry.  So he was excited to find an already white pumpkin there.  As you will see in later pics, he took it home and painted it all black.  That is boy logic right there.

Girl with a sweet smile, boy with a goofy look...

So far he is going along as planned...

Then something went awry... Oh, and yes there is a tent set up on the deck.  Jon did that for Jacob during the WEEK LONG fall break.
 Finished products!

Our decorated house! Jacob LOVES decorating for Halloween.
Left over lights put up in his room :)

Abby drawing the face on our pumpkin.

Fake-plug-in pumpkin on the right, real-carved-pumkin on the left.

We went to another pumpkin patch with friends Calvin and Jazella.

On the hayride :)

In the corn maze at that pumpkin patch.

We went to a church's Halloween festival.  The church is surrounded by trees, and they made their trick-or-treating trail in the woods with different stations throughout. It was really cool. This was the superhero/avengers station, complete with Hulk, Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor.

This was the Wizard of Oz station. This lady is the Yellow Brick Road.  Words can not express how excited I was, or how much I covet this costume.  I will have it one day...

"No one gets to see the Great Oz! Not nobody, not no how!"

The football section.  You had to throw the ball through the goal posts to get candy. That is Jacob throwing the ball here, of course a kid walked right in front of me when I was taking the pic.

Adventure Time section.  Jacob was especially happy about this one because I don't let him watch the show-too adult:  "See Mom? A church has it..."

Dunk station.  Jacob got her on his second throw.
Two suckers. Goob.

Another corn maze, with Morgie Porgie and friend Nicholas.

Reading the clues throughout the maze.

Shooting corn stalks out of some kind of air gun.

Field trip!  Jacob and friend Julian  (they also walk together every morning).

Bunch of boys playing after we ate lunch.  Happiness.

Jacob and Julian feeding the fish.

Petting a snake.
Julian, Jacob, and JP.  Triple trouble.  Julian was in Jacob's kindergarten class and now in 2nd grade.  He also lives around the corner, and we walk to school with him and his sister every morning.  JP is on Jacob's football team and also lives in the neighborhood.  His house conveniently backs up to the high school football field; therefore, we have been able to watch the games and have fun WITHOUT having to pay :)

Listening to a person talk about birds or something.

Jon found a good place to fish where they can catch bass pretty easily.  However, it may be on private property.  No comment...

There is a Gus's Friend Chicken in Collierville and they have a pet chicken.  The field we practice football on is down the street from it.  One night, on the way home, the chicken was actually crossing the road.  Only in Collierville.

Abby and I went to pick Jacob up from church one Wednesday night.  She has 3 rows of seats in her car-the 3rd one can fold down or up.  This night it was folded up, and when Jacob got in he sang, "I love my sister's carrrrrr, I'm sitting in the trunnnnnnkkkkkk."

Random pics of Keith I stole from his GF's FB.  It's just so weird for me to see him like a normal person these days...

Dad didn't want to get out and go to the Rendezvous for his bday, so Michael and I brought the ribs to him :)  We train our kids to start worshiping Rendezvous ribs at an early age ;)

Random stick in the back pact one afternoon...

We let Jacob invite friend Hunter over during the WEEK LONG fall break to "camp out" in the tent on the deck out back.  Eating s'mores here.

They didn't get much sleep....
