Ahhh, weddings.  Those things you plan diligently and carefully for months in advance.  Only to have at least one thing go wrong.  Well, Jacob's tux was the thing that went wrong in Hallie's wedding.  Of course we went to the rental place to have him measured a couple months before-such a silly question.  So naturally when we went to pick it up 2 days before the wedding-which was when we got the email telling us it was ready-NOT ONE SINGE PART OF IT FIT CORRECTLY.  Well, the socks fit.

Here are the pants.  Yep.

 And here is the shirt.

I didn't take a pic of the shoes, but they were a size 5 TODDLER.  So, let's recap, shall we?  The 9 year old boy, WHO WAS MEASURED, was given pants that were approximately 8 inches too short, a shirt in a man's size, and shoes for a baby.

But wait, there's more.  While Jacob was modeling this fine array of clothing, the lady helping us asked, "where did you get him measured? Here?"  Yes.  "Who did this?"  Well, I say, I don't remember exactly (thinking, shouldn't the person's name be on the sheet? Is there no form of accountability going on here?)  (also thinking, you sort of look like the person who did it...).  But, I say, I took pics! Let's see...(scroll, scroll, scroll)...here it is...wait, THAT LOOKS LIKE YOU.

 Exhibits A & B.

Well, they got it straightened out of course, THE DAY OF THE WEDDING.  But whatever.

These are pics of the rehearsal.
Hallie and Jacob walking together.

Always.  The.  Football.  It was even there the next day at the wedding.  But I didn't let him have it (I didn't know it had made the trip with us).

The groomsmen.

Hallie with the coordinator.

Jacob looking thrilled.

Again with the happiness.
I am noticing that my child does not have shoes on in any of these pics.  But he did have a football nearby, so there's that.

Pics of grandparents' weddings.  The one on the left is Jon's parents' wedding.

There was a balcony in the reception area, where of course Jacob spent most of the evening.  At this point Hallie had gone up there and was trying to get him to come down and dance.

This little boy walked down the aisle with the flower girl and held a sign that said, "here comes the bride."  He was fascinated with Jacob.

Morgie gettin' down.

Doin' the twist.

Love.

All the kids doing...I'm not sure.

We helped pick up rental stuff the day after and return it.  I looked over and saw Jacob frantically running throughout the pathways.  When I asked him what he was doing, he replied, "Playing Temple Run." --A game where a little guy has to run on a pathway that takes lots of turns.  Love his imagination.
Again, without shoes.

    1. The tux. Wow. The best part is that your love/skill of documenting came in handy; I love that you had a picture!!! Take that, terrible-measurer woman.

    2. The football. I am already sad thinking about football season ending for Jacob. I know there are still months left, but still.

    3. Jacob looked SO handsome! Even when he was clearly not thrilled, he still looked so cute!

    4. Hallie looked gorgeous and so happy!
