Jacob's social studies book had 2 names in it that he knows:  the first- Keaghan Russ, and the last -Ashley Aldridge.  She is my future daughter in law as well, so that works out.

Boy crafting.  He was making one of those origami future telling things that you fold up and pick a number then a color and you flip open the flap to see what it tells you. Oh, and he was sporting an awesome headband.

So we got a new loveseat.  Which is exciting because the old one was left over from Jon's divorce/before Shae days.  It was some kind of ugly army green color.  Then it tore and I put a slip cover on it.  Which was nice when I wanted to wash it, but not nice every other day when I had to CONSTANTLY straighten it out.  Anyway, our nephew Conrad wants it, and to get it out of the way until he gets it, I stood it up on its side.  Jacob is going to be quite unhappy to see it go...
He's doing his HOMEWORK up there. Maybe I should keep it???

Jon had already taught Jacob how to build a fire-believe it or not you don't just thrown some wood in there and light a match.  But that was with some kindling that he had.  When we ran out of kindling, he should him how to start it using newspaper.  Again, believe it or not you can't just light the newspaper and throw it in there.  If you don't do it right, the smoke will come back out into the room instead of going up the chimney.  So the 10 year can start a fire two different ways.  Could he tell you what he learned in school today? No.

Random pic that I honestly don't even remember taking...

I took the Roo to see Jon's mom.  Where I promptly took off his shoes, socks, and pants as it was about 100 degrees in her apartment.

 Cuteness.

The boy on the left is one of Jacob's good friends, Michael.  That is his sister Nikki, who I may or may not have locked in our garage for about 15 minutes one day a couple years ago...perhaps I should not admit to that on the internet....

Hallie's fave number has always been 4.  She always ended up with it in sports, and it also has popped up in various parts of her life.  When she and Josh got married, their license was the 4th listed in the newspaper, their ceremony was the 4th held at the venue (it was new).  Well, we got Jacob a cheap phone, and I wanted to assign people to numbers for speed dial.  I decided the easiest thing to help him remember was to put people on the numbers that correspond with the first letter of their name. Guess what number "H" is on??

I think I was amazed at the size of his feet...

He has had money from Christmas all this time.  He finally decided how to spend it.  A new Nerf gun, a new scope, and a big pack of extra bullets.

Falling asleep getting his hair cut.  He had spent the night with friends the night before.

This is Sylvia.  She lives next door to Jacob's friend, Michael.  She was in Jacob's kindergarten class (the first one to lose 4 teeth-she was famous) and is in his class this year.  I LOVE HER.  First of all, she's just hysterical.  Second, she knows EVERYTHING about EVERYONE.  One day a couple years ago, BEFORE Jacob was on instagram or anything like that, he missed school because he had an eye doctor appointment. Later that day I took him over to Michael's to play.  She was there and said, "so you had an eye doctor apointment today?" HOW DID SHE KNOW???   I swear I hadn't told anyone at that point.  It was spooky.
She is moving now and will going to a different school next year.  I am sad.

 Zoo with the Roo

Jacob was so proud! It was adorable.

 See the little hand?  Cuteness

Gonzo's pawprints are on the left, Maggie's are on the right.  Maggie is just such a doofus, poor thing.  It's just funny how her's are so spastic.

I have implemented "no electronics night" on Monday nights.  That means tv, iPod, xBox, etc.  Jacob acts like he is dying.  I drew him a maze like Zack and I used to do together, he made a word search for me.  Considering his handwriting is HORRENDOUS, it was very difficult.

Morgan's Second Concert and other misc videos

She is singing in these first 3. SINGING!!!

Jacob was there to support Morgan.

Afterward we walked across the street to a candy shop called "Sweet Noshings," (clever) where there were rows upon rows of candy in GLASS jars.  Um, do these people know what age candy typically attracts??  to make it more insane, to get candy out of the jar, you had to hold the lid, the bag to put the candy in, and the scoop to get the candy out.  Gee, I wonder if they replace many lids???  Well, anyway, it is always fun to go into a candy shop like this.
